1.General description of Roller compactor

Roller compactor is also called dry granulator, it is a kind granulator that can make powder material to granule directly without adding liquid binder, mixing, milling or drying. According to the type of feeding, roller compactor can be divided into vertical feeding and horizontal feeding. Horizontal feeding type roller compactor is advanced in technology, stable in performance and high in granulation rate. The roller compactor produced by our company is horizontal feeding type.

2.Features of Roller compactor

Compare with other granulators, roller compactor has following features:

1. Make powder to granules directly, the process does not need any binder

2. The material is formed by mechanical compacting, which does not destroy the chemical properties of the material and does not reduce the effective content of the product

3. The compact rollers are arranged up and down, which eliminates the influence of gravity on the material and ensures the uniformity of the material before compacting

4. The clearance between the compact rollers is adjustable, it makes the density of compacted sheet is consistent and granulation is uniform

5. Low energy consumption, and small occupied area

6. High granulation rate, high production efficiency

7. There is a hydraulic system, hardness and density of granules are adjustable

8. Equipment structure is simple, it is easy to disassemble and clean

9. There is vacuum pumping device, the compaction sheet is more compact, and the granulation rate is higher

10. There are three kinds of rollers that matched with different characteristic materials: straight-grain roller, cross-netted roller and plain roller
